![]() ![]() If it wasn’t for her there would be no sequel. It was this emotional, personal obligation to resolve her that made me want to go farther with another story. She has this fear of forgetting everyone. She was physically with a family and happy with them, but she still doesn’t know where she’s from and she still blames herself for why she’s alone. I created her, I knew her backstory, and I kind of felt a parental obligation that she should be at peace. I walked out of the theater feeling very concerned that Dory’s issues weren’t resolved. I would bet that most children would get extremely frustrated with this.Digital Trends: Of all the colorful characters introduced in Finding Nemo, why was Dory the one to get her own film?Īndrew Stanton: The only reason I made a sequel is because I was watching Finding Nemo about eight years later - I hadn’t watched that movie in a very long time - and it gave me a level of objectivity I probably never had with the film before. As a result, moving around and even nailing enemies with your bubbles takes a great deal of getting used to.įinding Nemo is the kind of game where you simply must play it over and over again in order to get the patterns down and learn the little “tricks” that you need to do in order to beat the game. The controls are kind of strange and it feels like a side scroller that wants to be in 3D. Nope!!! This game is hard and I do not mean hard for a kid’s game, but brutally hard. So, with that in mind and that is who clearly the target audience is, you would think that this is a game that would be easy…. ![]() Ok, so I would bet that on Christmas morning of 2003, many kids woke up and got Finding Nemo for PlayStation 2. ![]() The text in the game has a weird kind of thing going on and it may have been ok back in 2003 on your standard-def TV, but now it is kind of hard to read. The scenes they have ripped from the movie look great and are the highlight of the presentation. ![]()
